PRESERVING CASHIERS VALLEY’S HISTORY & CULTURE

The Cashiers Historical Society was founded 27 years ago to preserve the heritage of North Carolina’s Cashiers Valley through education, stewardship and advocacy. CHS provides internship opportunities for college and graduate students interested in history, education, preservation, marketing, and events.

Located two miles south of the Cashiers crossroads on NC 107, CHS’s five-acre campus contains four buildings that chronicle Cashiers’s history from the early 19th century through the third quarter of that century plus a modern pavilion containing offices, a catering kitchen and covered space for programs.
