Holidays at the Historical Society invites visitors to step into the past and experience holiday traditions unique to Southern Appalachia.
This magical evening captures the warmth and wonder of the holiday season, offering a candlelight tour of the historic Zachary-Tolbert House. Guided by the Cashiers Historical Society Staff, you’ll learn about past holiday traditions and how they’ve changed over time, all while admiring the home’s beautiful holiday decorations. Live holiday music will fill the air, adding to the charm of this festive evening!
In addition, Colonel John’s Cabin will be beautifully decorated for the season, providing the perfect setting for the whole family to enjoy making classic Christmas crafts. Seasonal treats will be served, and you can warm up around a cozy fire where guests from one to ninety-two can make s’mores and raise a cup of holiday cheer!
